Alvinho Noise

Today electronic music is one of the most powerful forms of music on the planet. Electronically composed music is used to express and entertain.Electronic music changed the face of entertainment since it's inception. In Brazil it's influence isn't any different.The Noise family have their roots embedded in electronic music especially techno.

Originally from Belo Horizonte ,the life of these two famous DJ's from Minas Gerais represent the beginnings of the local electronic music scene. Such a profession didn't even exist at that time. Brother Anderson was building up this scene in Minas Gerais and creating this profession for future DJ's of their generation. Alvinho came along with Anderson as the younger brother in tune with the art of DJing. Alvinho tells us about his experience as a dj:

"In the 80's when I was 8 years old I bought two records and a mixer.There were no records at my house,just a radio and I didn't know how to use the mixer.

Back then mixers had wooden frames and we only had access to records from pop and rock bands.I tried to mix from one turntable to another, which was quite difficult because there was always the problem of a slightly unstable tempo due to the recording techniques in the 80's.When I was eleven I started frequenting matinees where the DJ's there would play a lot of disco and house music from the flashbacks CD's.I got hooked on that and would always go back to check out the different DJ's and the music that they played.At that point I noticed that the music was very repetitive and never changed direction in order to evolve more.

Then I decided to follow another path musically. At 15 years old I started dedicating myself to playing the techno style.

Influenced by my brother in DJing,Alvinho started to prepare a repertoire that would richly define his musical style. Sharing his brother's interest in the techno music,Alvinho wanted to present techno music for everyone, mixing people together socio-economically.

In the first years there was a commotion about techno from Detroit.I was curious about what that sound was about.I was hanging out with friends who were electronic music purists and would tell me to check it out,that it was really happening.I continued researching the Detroit sound realizing that despite liking what I heard,that it wasn't my favorite style.

One of the great things about techno DJ's and producers.In techno music there are great Dj's and producers from different countries all over the world. This is one of the factors that sealed my passion for techno music.You don't need to be American,European,etc.You can be from any country and can play and achieve acclaim that will be recognized internationally.For example if you have a rock band an want to establish an international carreer you pretty much have to be from a first world or wealthier country and sing in English in order to enter into the mainstream.When I started playing big parties,they were semi alternative musically and I would see the people treating the DJ's with respect which was a great inspiration.Another thing which inspired me was that the people who went to these parties in those days were from different social classes socializing together, having fun dancing and enjoying the party.

Returning to exposure to Detroit techno.I think it was a great thing because it made me appreciate even more the fact that techno music is a universal form that keeps on evolving and innovating.

Then Alvinho steadily established himself as a respected local DJ developing his skills and his style.

As he became more recognized,Alvinho invested in his carreer and started to make his mark as a talented DJ. As he continued calling more attention, there naturally came more opportunities for him to play outside of town in other Brazilian states.

In mid 98' opportunities stared coming for Alvinho to play outside of Minas Gerais.In 99' my brother Anderson Noise created his label"Noise Music". We played a tour together in seven different Brazilian capitals, Anderson 's ideas was for the two of us to play on four different turntables.

That was really fun and something that the DJ's had never done before in Brazil.

From that point forward the name "Alvinho L. Noise" never stopped being noticed by event and DJ booking agencies in Brazil, having by then played in seventeen of the twenty seven states in Brazil.

Soon recognized as one of the bigger names in the national techno music scene, Alvinho then was being recognized internationally and initiated a carreer with a German tour in 2002 which is one of the most demanding and discerning markets of techno in the world.

Having great acclaim and recognition in the press,Alvinho started working for a European booking agency.Subsequently he did a tour in Italy as well.

Alvinho has recently starred producing his own tracks,one of which was released on the “Triton Christmas CD” in Sao Paulo in 2005. Now a days if you want to be a DJ,consequently you start thinking about being a producer as well.It was never like that before. A producer was a producer and a DJ was a DJ.At that time there was basically hardware and very little software to speak of, which limited the DJ's financially in terms of having their own studio.

Today with the rapid growth of technology ,especially in software and computers which makes it cheaper and more accessible to become a music producer. Because of this development I was able to invest in my own studio, consequently having to be a producer as well as a DJ.

Be it as it may,whether a dj or producer, Alvinho L. Noise has a big talent. In the opinion of many considered to be one of the great dj on the planet. Completing ten years of carrer,confainly this youn dj has a bright future, containly chead fun himself.

He is always evolving as a dj producer anda is always seeking for the perfect beat.
