DJ Minx is of British origin who grew up all over Europe and finally settling in London in 1997. She has built up a reputation for her sophisticated energetic funky uplifting vocal house style and electro sounds. Minx graced the decks in 2002, having lived with two DJ's at the time, gained all the advice and tips needed and picked up the trade with incredible speed and success. Having always had a great interest in music and working in clubs from an early age DJing was the next step for her and something that she had been considering for quite some time. DJ Minx is one of the hottest female DJ’s on the club scene and is one to certainly watch out for. She has already achieved residencies at The End, The Candy Bar, Envy (Brighton), Freedom, Gore Hotel, Shadow Lounge, Escape Bar, The Edge, Digress, Box Bar, The Green, Gaydar Radio, The Trocadero, Just St. James, Fuel, Coco Latte, Salvation (London Hippodrome), Salvation (Cologne), Salvation (Stockholm), Shaun & Joe & the coolest new celebrity hang outs, Baglioni Hotel’s and Nobu in Mayfair as well a weekly residency on Axiom Live Radio On Line. DJ Minx has also played at Australia’s Sydney Mardi Gras, Miami Music Conference and regularly in Europe, Italy being a favourite where she has done beach parties & gay events in Viareggio, Milan, Paris, Florence and Nice. Minx has also been a guest DJ at some of the hottest clubs such as Bitch (Sydney), Bitch vs. Candy Bar Recovery Party (Sydney), The Oxford Art Factory (Sydney), Mars Lounge (Sydney), Area (Vauxhall), DTPM, Booteeq at Rouge, A.K.A, Kudos, The Sanctuary, The Village, The Savoy Hotel, Raymond Revue, Heaven, Lo Profile, Jewel (Piccadilly), The Five & Lime (Guildford) and the ever popular London and Brighton Pride Festivals. DJ Minx has also joined forces with fellow DJ, Mark Bambach in music production calling themselves NU ADDICTION! with their track 'Addict to the Dance Floor’ feat. Meshach. This full vocal original composition features vocal talents of Meshach Mills, who was featured on the club classic by Kinky Roland ‘Born Funky’. The composition contains no samples, however it is loosely based around Rene and Angela’s 80’s underground soul anthem ‘I Love You More’. Some of the notes have been altered to avoid any clearance problems. And features live strings provided by NU ADDICTIONS Sam Cardwell. Live bass, guitar and lush keyboard. |
