Michael C stood behind the turntables in front of the party people for the first time in early 2004 and in a short run he became one of the most successful persons on the Czech dance scene. He is a crowd-pushing DJ presenting himself with energetic, colourful sets which are together with his typical ability to communicate with clubbers the right impulse to dance. The fact that since his beginnings Michael’s performance had a very good response was reflected in Dance Awards 2004. Michael was awarded the second best newcomer and the seventh one in DJ of the year. He has been gathering his DJ experience since the age of 17 when he stared slowly heading to the progressive electronic music. Soon he turned himself from a regional DJ into the DJ whose performances are desired not only in the whole Czech Republic but also abroad (Germany, Slovak Republic).

The breaking point in his career (autumn 2004) was party X-Mas in Trance in KC Karlov in Benešov where he played together with Marc van Linden, DJ Pure and LayDee Jane. After other successful performances Michael launched re:fresh live! which became the only regular trance/progressive night in the east part of The Czech Republic. Michael C is now a resident DJ of the Czech finest club Duplex with night called Sunshine and holds also a resident party Sound of Ibiza E-Motion in Brno. His nights meet with great popularity and attendance. Michael invites top Czech DJs and foreign DJs as well (Kyau vs. Albert, Shane 54, Ronski Speed, Angelo Mike, Sonorous, Orbith, Michael Burian, LayDee Jane, Martin Gredner, …).

On the basis of reactions from wide audience and Michael’s typical ability to draw clubber’s attention Michael is kept being invited to play with world DJ stars like Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, ATB, Armin van Buuren, Cor Fijneman, Mark Norman, Preach, Remy, M.I.K.E., Fergie. He performed as the only Czech DJ alongside DJ Tiësto at his Central and Eastern European Tour 2005 in T-Mobile Arena in Prague. He appeared again with Tiësto at CEE 2005 official afterparty in club Duplex. During six months he performed with 3 best world DJs according to DJ Mag (Tiësto, Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren) and in Dance Awards 2005 Michael was ranked at the third place in the category DJ of the year which kicked him among top class Czech DJs. You could see him playing at open-air festivals Mácháč, Summer of Love or Hradhouse which belong to the greatest ones in the Czech Republic. As the only Czech DJ ever he played his set at Euphonic night in Berlin which is held by one of the most important trance label Euphonic. Michael presented his sets also on world famous internet radios DI.fm, ETN.fm and in Mexico on Masmusic.fm

Michael launched radio show Sunshine which was the first trance/progressive show to be broadcasted on Czech radios. Every week for more than one year he was live mixing the hottest releases. Sunshine became the most listened special session on Radio Life (Fajn Radio Life today) within one month. This success was proved by the second place in Dance Awards 2004 in the category Best radio show. All fans can soon expect a brand new show.

Michael’s ambitions go further than only playing from turntables. He intensively works on his own music production. He made remixes, edits and bootlegs for his own usage. He has just finished his new singl called Moonfall and now he is working on his new original stuff and remixes.

Michael’s music repertory is of a wide range. He includes in his sets tracks with strong main theme and plenty of arse-shaking potential that rasps and carves its way through the track. He likes groovy bassline with electro elements that signs a little influence by techno. But we can find also smooth progressive house/trance tracks in his bag which have the place in the beginning of his sets. Michael is a great showman behind the turntables who says that the communication with party people and sharing the energy with them is one of the most important things.
